As a young child, Johnny fell in love with building and architecture, crafting elaborate projects from Legos. Today, as a designer working for Black Raven Architects, Johnny appreciates the opportunity to create beautiful spaces and structures that reflect the needs of customers. “I love old buildings and the character of small towns. I appreciate the chance to work on projects that adapt and re-use older buildings for contemporary purposes.”
In his free time, Johnny loves to bike through and around Adrian, even sometimes escaping the streets to. Recently, he designed and built a lightweight, bike-pulled camping trailer, and is working with the Launch Lenawee program in order to develop this idea into a business.
In addition to working in architecture, Johnny loves working with his hands to craft beautiful objects. He recently completed a yearlong certificate program with the Sam Beauford Woodworking Institute in furniture making.
